This took a long time to create and it’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s quirky and totally unique.
The Harris Lebus drawers are painted in Chocolate mineral paint and blended with Algonquin on the drawer fronts.
Then I painstakingly hand painted in the leopards using Size (glue) and applied the snow leopard foil. I’ve also added foil to the legs and top trim.
10 new handles were added and finished in Spanish copper on the front handle face.

This is no shrinking violet. It is the most impressive piece I’ve had the pleasure of refinishing to date.
A reproduction of an 18th Century Dutch Bombe Secrétaire now looking elegant in her more modern finish and sympathetic to its style.
I’ve used Fusion Mineral Paint - Chocolate and edged it in Copper along its curves, feet and at the outer corner of the drawers.
Faux cracked leather panels were created to the drawers and pull down section to add an interesting dimension and to keep an aged look.
The internal section has a large writing desk (leather repainted and hand edged in copper), a sliding bible compartment, 7 drawers (including the pillars) and 7 other compartments.
3 large drawers to the front.
The single key fits all 5 locks, which now work.
